Great news for PS90 owners! Under the ATF’s updated enforcement policy, federal NFA registration, prior approval, and additional NFA engraving requirements are no longer being enforced for Short Barrel Rifle (SBR) conversions.
Eligible customers can now order our PS90 SBR Conversion Service without waiting for ATF Form 1 approval or obtaining additional NFA engraving!
Important: State and local restrictions still apply. This ATF enforcement policy does not repeal the underlying federal law. All services remain subject to applicable legal requirements.

All components must be purchased directly from FN Specialties. We do not install customer supplied barrels, muzzle devices, or other third party parts.
What’s Included:
- Removal of the factory 16" barrel
- Installation of a CMMG 10.4" short barrel from FN Specialties
- Installation of your selected muzzle device
- All parts removed during the conversion, including your original 16" barrel and factory shroud, will be returned to you intact for future use whenever possible. In rare cases, irreversible damage to the original barrel and/or shroud may occur during disassembly.
Updated ATF Requirements
Effective October 9, 2026, ATF is no longer enforcing federal NFA Form 1 approval, registration, tax stamp, or additional NFA engraving requirements for Short Barrel Rifle conversions. Customers are no longer required under this federal enforcement policy to obtain Form 1 approval before ordering our PS90 SBR Conversion Service.
State and local laws still apply. Some jurisdictions may restrict SBR ownership or require federal registration. Customers must ensure their conversion is lawful in their jurisdiction before shipping.
Shipping Instructions:
- Ship Only the Receiver
Remove all accessories, optics, and nonessential parts before shipping. Receiver must be in good condition. - Include the Following in Your Package:
- A printed invoice from your FN Specialties order
- A copy of your driver’s license (for individuals)
- A copy of your FFL (for dealers)
- Any additional documentation required for your particular transaction
- Address Verification Policy:
For individual customers, the name and address on the shipping documentation and government issued identification must match.If any discrepancies exist, additional verification or shipment through a licensed FFL may be required. We cannot accept shipments with unverifiable customer information.
- Pack Carefully & Ship with Signature Required:
- Use ample bubble wrap and a sturdy box
- Ship using a carrier and shipping method authorized for firearms
- Use signature confirmation
- Consider adding insurance. FN Specialties is not responsible for transit damage.
- Notify Us Once Shipped:
Once your receiver has shipped, please reply to your order confirmation email with the shipping carrier and tracking number so we can identify your shipment and prepare for its arrival.
